Aston Martin AMR Rapide

As you may or may not know we are big fans of the Rapide. The AMR is the best of them. This one in particular.

Only 210 cars were built. They are capable of 205 MPH (with some adjustments I suspect), but there is no doubt this car is worthy of the Aston Martin Racing team with which it is associated.

The Rapide AMR draws on technology and inspiration from the Vantage GT12. The engine has larger inlet manifolds to enhance airflow into the AMR engine, yes it’s different from other models, the gearbox is also calibrated to make sure together they give max power.

At the heart of the Rapide AMR is a naturally aspirated drivetrain that draws much of its technology and character from the potent Aston Martin Vantage GT12. Larger inlet manifolds with tuned length dual inlet runners enhance the airflow into the 6.0-litre V12 engine and, combined with new engine and gearbox calibration, resulting in an increase in power. 600 BHP and 630 NM means serious thrills. The quad exhaust pipes do exactly as you would expect and again live up to the AMR badge. The aerodynamics have been tweaked to help keep it on the road by reducing lift at high speed. Lots of beautiful subtle touches mostly finished in carbon fibre.
